Patna police encountered an unusual situation during a recent vehicle inspection drive. A scooter was stopped for routine checks, only for the driver to abandon the vehicle and escape. The subsequent investigation revealed an outstanding balance of ₹45,000 in traffic challans against the scooter. The traffic police, acting on instructions from Traffic SP Patna, were carrying out a city-wide vehicle inspection campaign. The seized scooter, identified by its number BR-01-EL7452, is currently in police custody, and the owner has been notified. The scooter’s release is contingent upon the payment of the accumulated fines.
