Patna Under Siege: Youth Shot in Broad Daylight by Motorcycle-borne Assailants

Criminal activity continues unabated in Patna, as evidenced by a recent shooting incident. On Friday night, a young man was shot in the Belwarganj area, falling under the Alamganj police station. The perpetrators, riding a motorcycle, opened fire and escaped. The victim, Shahil, was outside his home after having his meal when the attack occurred. The gunshot wounds caused severe injuries, prompting immediate transport to NMCH hospital. Doctors, recognizing the seriousness of the situation, referred him to Patna AIIMS. Responding swiftly to the report, the police arrived at the scene, collected evidence including two spent cartridges, and initiated a search for clues using CCTV footage. The police are currently interviewing the family and conducting raids to locate and arrest the culprits involved in the shooting.
