Priyanka Gandhi Accuses NDA of Vote Buying and Criticizes Bihar Government’s Actions

Priyanka Gandhi Vadra addressed a rally in Motihari, Bihar, where she launched a scathing attack on the BJP and its alliance with the JDU, in anticipation of the upcoming Bihar assembly elections. She specifically criticized the distribution of 7,500 crore rupees to 75 lakh women in the state through the Chief Minister’s Women Employment Scheme, claiming it was an attempt by the NDA to purchase votes. She questioned the timing of this initiative, given the NDA’s long-standing governance. During her first solo rally, Gandhi accused the BJP of exploiting divisive issues like caste, religion, and infiltration to manipulate votes. She also highlighted the issue of vote theft, prompting the crowd to respond with accusations against those in power for the past two decades. Furthermore, she addressed Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, referencing the collapse of 27 bridges in Bihar within the last three years. She also raised concerns about the alleged leasing of a large tract of land in Bhagalpur to a business entity at discounted rates, while also mentioning the potential impact of US tariffs on the export of makhana, a significant crop in North Bihar. Gandhi also praised her brother, Rahul Gandhi, for his efforts to connect with the public, describing his long march as an act of true patriotism.
