In Patna, AIMIM is organizing a protest on June 29 to oppose the Waqf Amendment Act. Akhtarul Iman, the state president, has appealed to the Muslim community to join the rally. He views the Waqf law as a means to cover up the failures of the Modi government, calling it unconstitutional. Iman also voiced his worries about the Iran-Israel conflict, backing Iran’s position. He accused Narendra Modi of attempting to instigate a civil war-like situation in the country through the Waqf law. Furthermore, he asserted that participation in the rally is crucial to preserve Muslim identity and cultural practices like maintaining beards, wearing caps, and protecting cemeteries. Iman also commented on the re-election of Lalu Prasad Yadav, making a light-hearted remark.
