As Puri prepares for the annual Rath Yatra, starting June 27th, Chief Minister Mohan Majhi has extended a warm welcome to the visiting devotees. Former Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, recovering from a medical procedure, also sent a message of goodwill. The Puri administration and the Shree Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA) are working diligently to ensure a successful and safe festival. The three chariots have been moved to Singhadwar after receiving Agyan Mala. Nabajouban Darshan took place, and the rituals are progressing smoothly. The police are prepared for a large influx of people, with comprehensive measures for public safety and traffic management in place, supported by central agencies. The SP of Puri, Vineet Agarwal, confirmed that all necessary arrangements are in place for the smooth conduct of the Rath Yatra, with advanced security measures, including anti-drone teams.
