Supaul Boat Tragedy: 13 People Feared Drowned in Bhonga River

A major boat accident occurred in the Bela Patti ward number-1 of Gudia Panchayat, under the jurisdiction of the Triveniganj police station in Supaul district, on Tuesday evening. The boat was carrying a total of 13 people, including two boatmen. Among the passengers were 11 women. They had gone to the other side of the river to collect grass and Patua. The boat capsized while returning. The authorities were immediately notified, and local residents began a rescue operation. Eight people have been saved, but one woman has been confirmed dead. The search continues for the four missing individuals.
