A public disagreement between Tej Pratap Yadav, who was recently ousted from his family and party, and his brother, RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav, has emerged. Addressing a crowd in Jehanabad, Tej Pratap criticized the “Abki Baar Tejashwi Sarkar” slogan. He countered that such statements are not appropriate, as the government is established by the public, not any single person. He cautioned against pride, warning that those who display arrogance will quickly fail. He also mentioned that he doesn’t want to be the Chief Minister.
Tej Pratap also announced that he would be contesting elections as an independent, from the Mahua constituency. He has stated that some individuals have conspired against him, damaging his political prospects. He had earlier urged his brother to be careful of those trying to bring harm to him. The open expressions of dissent from Tej Pratap are adding pressure on Tejashwi, ahead of the upcoming assembly elections. There is a potential risk that Yadav’s support may get divided due to the open rebellion of the elder brother, thus making it difficult for the party’s election campaign.
