An accident involving Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Tejashwi Yadav’s convoy occurred in Vaishali, Bihar, resulting in a close call for the former Deputy Chief Minister. A truck struck two vehicles in his convoy near Goraul on the Patna-Muzaffarpur highway. Yadav was on his way back to Patna from a political event in Madhepura when the incident happened. The convoy had halted for a brief tea break around 12:30 AM. While Yadav was away from his vehicle, the truck collided with the stationary vehicles carrying his security personnel. Three security officials were injured and received immediate medical attention. The local police arrested the truck driver and impounded the vehicle, initiating an investigation. The accident has heightened anxieties regarding the security of political figures during travel in Bihar, with calls for stricter enforcement of traffic regulations and enhanced VIP security measures. Yadav is reported to be safe and has resumed his normal activities.
