A devastating incident took place in Purnia, Bihar, where three young people lost their lives and two others sustained critical injuries after being hit by the Vande Bharat Express. The individuals were on their way home from a local fair when the accident occurred. Emergency responders transported the injured to the Purnia Government Medical College Hospital (GMCH) for urgent medical care. The victims, all residents of Chandpur Bhangaha near Janakinagar Nagar Panchayat, were walking on the railway tracks at approximately 4:00 am after attending the fair. They were unaware of the oncoming train, which was traveling from Jogbani. Authorities from the Railway Protection Force (RPF) and local police arrived at the scene following the incident.
