A woman in Patna, Bihar, sought to incriminate her husband by presenting a country-made pistol to the police, claiming she’d taken it from him after a violent altercation. The police, initially surprised, began an investigation that exposed a plot. Kiran Devi alleged her husband, Jago Mahto, had been mistreating her and had a gun with which he intended to kill her. However, the investigation into the case unveiled Devi’s suspicious behavior. Neighbors confirmed that she would often leave home and had a history of violence against her husband. Mahto stated that his wife had been behaving erratically after working at a police station. The police discovered that Devi had male friends who visited her, leading to disputes with her husband. The police suspect Devi, with the help of a male friend, set up the incident to frame her husband. The police are attempting to arrest the person who gave the weapon.
