BJP National President Nitin Nabin turned his Assam visit into a platform to celebrate tea plantation workers, crediting them for the state’s international tea legacy. From Tinsukia to Dibrugarh on Thursday, he explored profound spiritual sites, cultural bonds, and economic drivers.
Via X posts, Nabin described the Namghar in Barekuri, Tinsukia, as a testament to Moran community’s piety and integration. This village thrives in sync with nature, sheltering Hoolock Gibbons—known locally as ‘Holo Bandor’—in a setup reminiscent of PM Modi’s ‘Mann Ki Baat’ stories.
‘It showcases faith and nature’s beautiful alliance,’ he said, after praying for the country’s advancement.
Hospitality peaked with an Assamese breakfast at Minister Sarbananda Sonowal’s in Dibrugarh’s Lakhinagar, a taste of local traditions.
Spotlighting tea gardens’ lush expanses and Assam tea’s superior taste profile, Nabin declared: ‘Global success is thanks to workers’ relentless toil and dedication. Their efforts fortify our economy and culture—Assam forever cherishes them.’
The tour solidified resolve to nurture Assam’s spiritual, environmental, and fiscal assets, fostering inclusive growth rooted in sustainability and heritage.
