The CBI has commenced an investigation into the disappearance of Abhinand Yesudasan, a case that has been unresolved for eight years. The young man, who was employed as a pipe fitter, went missing from a ship. The investigation was initiated at the directive of the Kerala High Court, which was addressing a petition submitted by Yesudasan’s father. Abhinand, a 21-year-old from Kollam, Kerala, worked for Aries Marines LLC in Sharjah, UAE. He disappeared on March 21, 2017, during a voyage from Egypt to Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
In a complaint to the state police, his father reported that Abhinand had communicated with the family multiple times from Egypt and Turkey, conveying a sense of happiness. The father further claimed that on March 17, 2017, Abhinand shared that he was being harassed by his coworkers due to his inexperience.
