A devastating event took place in Paragaon, near Abhanpur, Chhattisgarh. A lightning strike near the Mahanadi River claimed the lives of 27 goats and sheep. Seven additional animals were critically injured in the incident. According to local reports, the incident occurred during a sudden and intense thunderstorm with heavy rainfall. The livestock were grazing in the area when the lightning struck. The loss has severely affected the means of subsistence for three families in the village, who depended on the animals for their livelihood. There are calls for immediate economic aid to support the affected families.
