Suresh Paratagiri, Bijapur. Police has achieved great success under the anti-Maoist campaign being run in the district. During intensive search in the area, DRG has arrested a total of 7 Maoists including those carrying a reward of Rs 1 lakh each in the forests of Keshkutul and Turenar under Bhairamgarh police station area.
The arrested Maoists were actively working in the Maoist organization for a long time. The 7 naxalites who were arrested were involved in incidents like blocking roads, planting IEDs, distributing anti-government pamphlets and banners, murder and arson. After legal action against them in Maddeed and Farsegarh police stations, they were produced in the court on judicial remand.
