In a significant anti-corruption operation, the ACB in Janjgir-Champa district has arrested a Patwari for accepting a bribe of ₹20,000. The accused, Balmukund Rathore, serving at Gram Halaka No. 19, Dharashiv Putpura, was caught during the sting operation. The ACB’s action was prompted by a complaint filed by Satendra Kumar Rathore, a resident, who reported that the Patwari demanded the bribe in exchange for completing land-related tasks, including land rectification and demarcation. The ACB, after receiving the complaint, devised a plan and apprehended the Patwari red-handed on Friday. An investigation has commenced against the accused, causing a stir within the government offices.
