Purushottam Patra, Gariaband. A sensational case has come to light in Kasekera village of Chhura police station area of Gariaband. Where the body of a 32-year-old woman, who was working as an Anganwadi worker while living in her maternal home, was found lying in her bedroom under suspicious circumstances. The woman’s husband was trying to cremate the body, but the deceased’s family saw injury marks on her body and immediately informed the police. Police have started investigating the case due to suspicion of murder.
Let us inform that the police has also called the forensic team on the spot to investigate the matter. This preliminary investigation is going on from 8 pm onwards. Additional SP Jitendra Chandrakar said that the case appears suspicious. The deceased’s maternal family has alleged murder, which is being investigated.
Know the whole matter –
According to the information, the deceased’s husband Gobind called Khembai’s maternal home this morning and informed her elder brother Dooj Lal about her death. On hearing this, Khembai’s family reached Kasekera from Peepar Chedi. Bhai Dooj Lal told that the death which Gobind tried to perform the last rites by calling it normal, was not normal. The deceased was bleeding from the nose and mouth, the mangalsutra was broken, and there were many injury marks on her body. Seeing the incident, the victim’s family gathered the villagers. The meeting continued till 5 pm, when the in-laws agreed not to perform the last rites before the investigation.
Gobind’s second wife was deceased
It is noteworthy that the deceased Khembai was the second wife of Gobind, who was married two years ago. They had no children. The deceased mostly lived in her maternal home and occasionally visited her in-laws’ house. Family members said that there was never any rift between the husband and wife, but today’s incident has shocked the parents as well as the villagers.
