Raipur. There is good news for the players. Bastar Olympics is going to be organized in Chhattisgarh. Chhattisgarh Sports Minister Tankaram Verma said, Bastar Olympics will be organized in the state, in which Union Ministers will come. Preparations will be made at such a level that players of Chhattisgarh can win medals at the international level as well.
Minister Tankaram said, when I went to Bastar, the players there have tremendous energy. Local sports of Chhattisgarh will also be given priority in Bastar Olympics. The amount of diet for the players will be increased. Players will play only if they eat well and take proper diet.
Verma said, players were victims of neglect in the previous Congress government. Most of our players were forced to play for other states. Now we will ask all those players to play for Chhattisgarh. The facilities and respect given in other states will now be given in Chhattisgarh as well. We have started working for the development and betterment of players.
He said, recently an investiture ceremony was held in which awards were given to outstanding players. A committee has been formed to provide jobs to players. A decision will be taken very soon.
