The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has initiated raids on the premises of Bhupesh Baghel, former Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh, in relation to an ongoing investigation into the state’s liquor scam. The raids, which began early Friday, also targeted the residences of his son, Chaitanya Baghel. Baghel stated that the raids were a politically motivated move, timed to coincide with his plan to raise concerns about the cutting of trees in Tamnar for the Adani group.
