Biranpur has been in the headlines before also:

Let us tell you, on 12 April 2023, communal violence broke out in Biranpur village, when a youth named Bhuvaneshwar Sahu was murdered by miscreants. After this incident, massive violence broke out in the area, in which two Muslim persons were also killed. After the Biranpur violence, dissatisfaction against the Congress government started increasing in the state due to the action taken by the police against one party. This incident played an important role in the change of power in Chhattisgarh, resulting in the formation of the BJP government. BJP made Ishwar Sahu, father of Bhuvaneshwar Sahu, who was killed in this violence, a candidate in the assembly elections, and he won the election and became an MLA. Now, on this stabbing incident that took place in the BJP government, the opposition Congress party is trying to prove the BJP government as a failure against crimes.
