Naxalites have committed a heinous act in Bijapur, Chhattisgarh, resulting in the deaths of three villagers. The victims were found dead, their throats slit. Police investigation is underway, and the area has been put under increased security. The incident is seen as an attempt by the Naxalites to create terror and disruption amid the ongoing anti-Naxal operations. The police are conducting thorough searches and raids to catch the culprits. The killings took place in Peddakorma (Nayapara) village. The recent death of ASP Akash Rao Giripunje, killed in an IED blast in Sukma district, has further heightened the tension. The government remains committed to eradicating Naxalism by the set deadline, March 31, 2026, as stated by the Home Minister and the State Home Minister.
