Dr Ketan Patel (BUMS) has been practicing in this field for a long time. As per his degree, he has neither put up a board in his clinic nor does he have a drug license. When Lalluram’s team reached his clinic, he was still treating a patient. When asked which degree he has and if he has a drug license, he asked him to show it.
After which Dr Ketan Patel (BUMS) showed his BUMS degree and registration but admitted on camera that he did not have the mandatory drug license to sell medicines.

Lalluram.com talked to Dr. Sanjay Shukla in this matter. Dr. Shukla is currently the Registrar of Chhattisgarh Ayurveda, Unani and Naturopathy Board. Lalluram.com asked him if a BUMS doctor can write Surgeon before his name? So he said no. BUMS doctors are not allowed to write Surgeon before their name. He also provided the names of a list of medicines, which BUMS doctors can use as per the rules. But he also confirmed that they cannot sell drugs to patients without a drug license.
He said that it is a matter of investigation for the drug department as to which medicines the above doctor is using and how he is selling them to patients without a drug license.
