The medical college management has sent a notice to the hospital as well as all the more than 100 department heads and doctors under it, warning of strict action if rules are violated during government functions.

In view of the problems faced by the patients in government hospitals, the Health Department of Chhattisgarh Government, despite banning the private practice of doctors posted in medical colleges, has prepared to take strict action against those doctors who are continuously engaged in private practice. According to the new order of the government, it has now been made mandatory for the doctors posted in the medical college to be present on duty during the hospital hours and they should continue providing their services in the treatment of patients during this stipulated period. If during this period, if they are found doing private practice in any private hospital or private clinic, not only action will be taken against such doctors but other strict steps can be taken as per rules.

In this regard, Late. Dean of Lakhiram Medical College, Dr. PM Luka said that after the recent complaint, he has issued a notice to the doctors of the medical college including the head of the department of the medical college and in this notice it has been said that doctors should not be held responsible for any kind of negligence during official work.
