The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) in Chhattisgarh has achieved another success in its ongoing efforts to combat corruption. On Monday, the ACB team arrested Jugeshwar Rajwade, a clerk posted at the Surajpur tehsil office, while he was accepting a bribe of 25,000 rupees. The operation, conducted by an ACB team from Raipur, took place within the tehsil office complex. The clerk was accused of soliciting the bribe from a farmer to facilitate the land mutation process. Following the complaint from the farmer, the ACB verified the claim and then devised a plan to trap the accused. Rajwade was arrested immediately after accepting the money, and the bribe amount was recovered. Video recording was used to document the entire operation, which provides solid evidence for the investigation. The ACB is now questioning the clerk and exploring whether other government employees were involved in the corrupt act.
