Chhattisgarh is actively promoting solar energy, aiming to transition from subsidized electricity to free electricity for its citizens. This initiative was highlighted by Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai during a solar energy awareness event. He expressed his delight at the progress, noting that residents are embracing clean energy by understanding the significance of the scheme. The Chief Minister urged the public to encourage others to join the program and contribute to the state’s advancement towards clean energy. The Chief Minister explained that the central and state governments are providing subsidies to consumers, alongside easy financial assistance through banking systems. He stated that consumers will soon receive completely free electricity. He also mentioned that beneficiaries of the Pradhan Mantri Kusum Yojana were awarded Letters of Award. These schemes enable consumers to generate solar energy, sell electricity, and benefit from cheaper electricity.
