In the House, Congress MLA Janak Dhruv asked Revenue Minister Tankaram Verma that a fake demand letter for forest rights was prepared in Shobha Panchayat of Mainpur development block of Gariaband district by using fake signatures and seals of the Sarpanch and Secretary in the documents for forest land lease, about which the former Sarpanch has complained in writing to the District Collector. There has been a demand to register an FIR in the matter. By when will an FIR be registered in the matter?

Revenue Minister Tankaram Verma replied that there was a demand to register an FIR on the complaint received regarding the preparation of a fake demand letter for forest land lease, but after examining the complaint received by the District Level Forest Rights Committee Gariaband, the case has been cancelled due to Sanjay Netam and Anita Netam not filing any claim application. Hence the question of registering an FIR does not arise.

The opposition expressed dissatisfaction with the minister’s reply and insisted on investigating the matter. The entire opposition in the House kept demanding action.

Earlier, during the Question Hour, BJP MLA Motilal Sahu, citing the shortage of teachers in schools, sought information about the vacant posts and asked when the vacant posts would be filled? In response, Chief Minister Vishnudev Sahu said that our average of teachers is better than the national average, yet there is a shortage of teachers. In the entire country, there is one teacher for 26 students, whereas in Chhattisgarh there is one teacher for 21 students.

Chief Minister Sai said that there are about 300 teacherless schools and about 5,500 single teacher schools. He clarified that rationalization will be done first and then teachers will be recruited. Rationalization will also solve the shortage of teachers.
