In anticipation of the 2025 Kharif season, Chhattisgarh has secured a robust supply of fertilizers, with 12.27 lakh metric tons already in storage. The government is closely monitoring the procurement, storage, and distribution to maintain efficiency. To mitigate potential DAP shortages, the focus has shifted to alternative fertilizers, including NPK, Super Phosphate, and Nano DAP, benefiting farmers. The distribution target has been increased to 17.18 lakh metric tons, reflecting a strategic move. Currently, the state has significant urea reserves, ensuring adequate supply for paddy cultivation, which requires urea at various stages. Moreover, the government is promoting Nano DAP in the cooperative sector, with a storage of one lakh bottles planned.
