Chhattisgarh Couple Dies by Suicide in Apparent Failed Romance

In a devastating turn of events, a couple in the Janjgir-Champa district of Chhattisgarh has reportedly taken their own lives. The pair were found hanging from a tree near the Khadakhodi pond in Dhanneli village. The deceased man has been identified as Shailendra Kewat from Amora, and the woman as Ramkumari Singh, a 36-year-old resident of Sohagpur, Korba. Preliminary investigations suggest the two were in a relationship. Shailendra had reportedly left home on Monday, supposedly for a picnic. The presence of sindoor (vermilion) on Ramkumari Singh’s forehead has raised further questions. Police have sent the bodies for post-mortem examination and are exploring all possible angles.
