Raipur. The great festival of Navratri is about to come, on this occasion a special order has been issued to ensure the supply of pure Devbhog ghee in the major temples of Chhattisgarh. This order has been issued by the Chhattisgarh Animal Husbandry Development Department, according to which pure Devbhog ghee made from milk obtained from the cattle rearers of the state will be used in lighting the lamp and preparing the prasad during Navratri.

According to the order issued, Chhattisgarh State Cooperative Milk Federation Limited is the top institution engaged in cooperative-based milk business in the state, which collects milk every morning and evening from more than 30,000 animal husbandry families associated with about 700 milk cooperative societies in the state and provides Vitamin “A” and “D” fortified milk and milk products manufactured as per FSSAI standards to consumers.

The use of “Devanog” quality milk and milk products produced by Chhattisgarh State Cooperative Milk Federation Limited is to be encouraged in the prestigious Shaktipeeths of the district during the upcoming Sharadiya Navratri festival and for the preparation of prasad by using pure Devbhog ghee made from milk obtained from the milk producers of the state. At present, the approved rate for jar pack of 16 kg net quantity (16.48 litres) is Rs 9,030 per jar including 12% GST for delivery and supply at Shakti Peeth.
