A significant financial aid package is set to be released to farmers in Chhattisgarh today. The Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare is facilitating the disbursement of ₹152.84 crore to 141,879 insured farmers in the state through the Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana (PMFBY). The funds will be distributed via the Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) system. The allocation comprises ₹10.25 crore for Kharif season 2024 beneficiaries, encompassing 33,943 farmers, and ₹142.58 crore for Rabi season 2024-25, benefiting 107,936 farmers. The disbursement event, which will take place in Jhunjhunu, Rajasthan, will be led by the Union Minister of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, utilizing the DBT-based automated system.
