The Chhattisgarh High Court has dismissed a petition filed by a couple seeking to reverse their divorce and reconcile. The couple, who had previously agreed to a divorce in Family Court, later attempted to overturn the decision after rekindling their relationship. The High Court stated that it could not entertain the appeal because the initial divorce was based on mutual consent. The court’s decision was made in accordance with legal procedures and the evidence presented, disregarding the couple’s emotional desire to reunite. The case involved a couple from Bilaspur whose relationship soured shortly after their marriage. They later filed for divorce in Family Court, which was granted in January of the same year. Despite the divorce, the couple reconnected, even traveling together to Mathura. They presented photos of their time together to the High Court, but the court upheld the original divorce ruling.
