A heart-wrenching incident occurred in Jogidipa village, under the jurisdiction of Fingeshwar police station in Chhattisgarh’s Gariaband district, on Saturday. Kamlesh Nande, a man struggling with substance abuse, fatally attacked his mother during a heated exchange. The disagreement that sparked the violence involved the preparation of fish and vegetables. Overcome with rage, Nande used a wooden stick to repeatedly strike his mother, resulting in her immediate death. The incident has caused widespread fear and chaos within the village. Upon receiving the information, the police swiftly responded and arrested the son. A forensic team has also been deployed to examine the crime scene. Nande’s history of alcohol and drug addiction had been a source of frequent conflicts within the family and the community. The police are currently investigating the case, seeking more information from the arrested individual, while the local community mourns the loss.
