A bizarre incident unfolded in Dhamtari, Chhattisgarh, where a man’s alleged drowning turned out to be a carefully planned escape from debt. Hemant Chandravanshi, a resident of Kawardha, left his clothes and slippers near the Gangrel Dam, leading to an extensive search by police and divers. For twelve days, authorities scoured the waters, believing he had perished. However, their search led them to Delhi, where Chandravanshi was eventually located. He confessed to faking his death due to overwhelming financial burdens. He had checked into a resort near the dam with friends before disappearing. After his friends reported him missing, the police initiated a search operation. The police tracked his phone and discovered he was in Delhi. Law enforcement is taking legal action against him.
