Tragedy struck in the village of Sankara, Chhattisgarh, when a 40-year-old man named Tiku Ram Sen ended his life following a disagreement with his wife. Sen, under the influence of alcohol, had demanded egg curry from his wife. She refused, explaining that it was Teej, a religious festival, and that non-vegetarian food was not traditionally consumed on that day. This refusal sparked a heated argument, leading Sen to leave the house. He was later discovered dead, having hanged himself from an amla tree. The local police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death, and the wife was overcome with grief upon learning of her husband’s passing.
