Chhattisgarh Police achieved a significant breakthrough in their ongoing efforts against Naxalism. Two female Naxalites, Paro Hapka and Sunita alias Sangeeta Mandavi, were taken into custody. Both were associated with the Kutul LOS (Local Operating Squad) within the Maoist Mad Division. The arrests occurred in the Kohkameta police station jurisdiction, where the accused had been actively involved in activities such as extending the ‘Jantana Sarkar,’ recruiting young people, promoting Maoist ideology, and planning assaults on police forces. Police also recovered a substantial amount of weaponry and explosive materials. The seized items encompassed a 12-bore BGL launcher gun, two BGL bombs, a tiffin bomb, a detonator, 24 pencil cells, and additional electronic gadgets. This operation is seen as a major success in the region plagued by Naxalite activity.
