Sanjay Manikpuri, Sarangarh-Bilaigarh. A shocking case of cheating with a groom has come to light in Amjhar of Sarangarh area. The boy got married by paying 2 lakh rupees to the girl’s relatives, but during the golden night, the bride cheated him and ran away. On the complaint of the victim’s family, the police have registered a case and are investigating.
Actually, the young man got married in a temple on 21st May and the same night when the family was asleep, the bride saw the opportunity and fled from there. When the groom woke up a few hours later, he was shocked to know the truth. The victim’s family has lodged a complaint in the Kotwali police station. This case is of Amjhar Bhadridipa of Kotwali police station area.
The youth Keshav Prasad Patel got in touch with an unknown person from Patnagarh Jalgalpara in Odisha through mobile. He sent a photo of a girl he knew, Pooja Patel, and proposed marriage. When the youth liked the girl, the girl’s family talked about getting married in a temple and took two lakh rupees in cash for the expenses. On May 21, 2024, the youth and the girl got married in the Durga temple located in village Arjunda of Saraipali police station area. After this, the youth brought the bride to his house.
Middleman’s mobile phone is switched off
When the groom fell asleep in the room at night, the bride escaped after getting the opportunity. When Keshav Prasad woke up at around 1 o’clock, the bride was not found in his room. Keshav told his family about the incident and then contacted the middleman but his mobile phone was switched off. After this, the victim’s family felt cheated and complained about the incident in the Kotwali police station. The police said that they will be able to say anything in the matter only after investigation.
