Chhattisgarh has witnessed light to moderate rainfall in all its divisions over the last day. Continuous rain was observed in many areas, including Raipur. The weather department indicates that this pattern is likely to continue for the next two days, with a potential for heavier rainfall in certain districts. However, the rains have also brought devastating news, as lightning strikes claimed the lives of six individuals across the state on Wednesday. Two fatalities occurred in Gariaband, and four in the Raigarh district. It is understood that the victims were either seeking shelter under trees or making their way back from fields during the heavy downpour when tragedy struck.
