Chhattisgarh’s Maternity Vandan Yojana: A Path to Women’s Empowerment

Under the guidance of Women and Child Development Minister Lakshmi Rajwade, the Maternity Vandan Yojana is addressing gender inequality and discrimination in Chhattisgarh. It supports women’s financial stability and self-reliance. Currently, over 69.19 lakh women in the state are benefiting from the scheme. In Narayanpur district alone, more than 27,000 women receive over ₹2.78 crore monthly, including 3,687 women from the Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Groups.
