The Prime Minister, in his ‘Mann Ki Baat’ program, acknowledged the remarkable sanitation efforts of the women in Bilha, Chhattisgarh. Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai attended a collective listening session of the program in Raipur. Sai described the recognition as a matter of immense pride for every citizen of Chhattisgarh. He noted that the women’s initiative in Bilha, which involved waste management training, had transformed the city and set an example for the nation. Sai highlighted the importance of collective effort and the role of social awareness in making sanitation a successful movement. He also pointed out the recent recognition of seven cities in Chhattisgarh under the Swachh Bharat Mission and the exceptional performance of urban bodies in the Jashpur district.
