In a heartbreaking incident, a young child in Korba, Chhattisgarh, died after choking on a chickpea. The two-year-old, Divyansh Kumar, was playing at home when he ingested the chickpea. The legume became lodged in his throat, causing breathing difficulties. Despite efforts by the child’s mother and uncle to rush him to the hospital, the child’s condition deteriorated rapidly. Medical professionals attempted to provide treatment, but the chickpea had already caused significant damage. The child’s parents have expressed concerns about the medical care received, while a specialist explained that the chickpea had entered the lung, resulting in internal bleeding and a critical condition upon arrival at the hospital.
