Amit Pandey, Khairagarh. A unique feat of the forest department has been seen in the forest division Khairagarh, where fake payments worth crores have been made by making false certificates in the name of line cutting and various works and government money has been misappropriated. It has been almost 2 years since the complaint of embezzlement of about 1.25 crore government rupees, but no conclusion has come out in this case so far. The officers are also avoiding saying anything in this matter. In this case, it can either be assumed that due to political pressure, the investigation could not be done in this case or the higher officials have also filled their pockets.

The whole matter is of Khairagarh – Dongargarh forest range, where fake payments of crores of rupees were made for line cutting, burning etc. from January 2021 to March 2021, which the forest officers embezzled crores of rupees of government money by mutual collusion. The then DFO, SDO of the Forest Department, along with the then Range Officers of Dongargarh, Chhuikhadan, Gandai and Bortalav are also accused of embezzling government money of Rs 1,35,85,314 by making fake certificates and tampering with documents. In the entire matter, a letter was sent to the Forest Division Officer Khairagarh by the Chief Forest Conservator Durg on 10 October 2022, asking for investigation action and mandatory submission of the investigation report within 15 days, but today it is going to be almost 2 years but no action has been taken by the Forest Division Officer Khairagarh.

The investigation report has been sent to higher officials: DFO

The present Khairagarh DFO Alok Tiwari said that the entire matter has been investigated. The report has been sent to the higher authorities.
