India’s Enforcement Directorate has attached properties worth Rs 21.45 crore belonging to the operators of the Mahadev Online Book betting app. The order, issued on January 10, 2026, involves 27 real estate properties and nearly Rs 1 crore in movable assets. The investigation, sparked by FIRs in Chhattisgarh, Andhra Pradesh, and West Bengal, uncovered a vast network of illicit earnings. Promoters allegedly laundered money using documents of unsuspecting individuals to open dummy bank accounts. The agency has already filed five prosecution complaints and maintains that the investigation is ongoing, with more revelations expected regarding the cross-border financial trails leading to Dubai.
