A fierce gun battle erupted between police and Naxalites on the Kanker-Dhamtari-Odisha border, leading to the deaths of three Naxalites. Shravan was carrying a reward of 8 lakhs, Rajesh had a reward of 5 lakhs, and Basanti had a reward of 1 lakh. A thorough search operation continues in the region. The encounter happened in the Tiyarpani forests, which falls under the Kotwali police station jurisdiction. Security forces were reportedly conducting a search based on information regarding the presence of Naxalites when the confrontation unfolded on the Kanker-Dhamtari-Odisha border.
