In a case of blatant fraud, a teacher in the Janjgir-Champa district of Chhattisgarh has been fired for using a fake marksheet to obtain a government job. Janakram Chauhan, who was working as an assistant teacher at a primary school in Belha, was terminated after an investigation revealed the falsification. The fraudulent activity occurred in 2003 when Chauhan submitted a forged marksheet, which was actually the document of a different student, Dhanrup Singh. Despite not having appeared for the high school examination, Chauhan managed to secure a position based on the fabricated credentials. The District Education Officer has since issued an order dismissing Chauhan from service.
