Shailesh Pandey, a former MLA, has been threatened with death and a ransom of 20 lakh rupees has been demanded. The caller warned that if the money was not paid, his daughter would be harmed. Pandey has filed a report at the Sakri police station. The call was made to his wife’s phone, where the caller demanded that she connect him to Shailesh Pandey. When Shailesh Pandey spoke to the caller, he was threatened and the ransom was demanded. The caller threatened to kidnap the daughter of Manju Pandey, Deputy Registrar of Cooperatives, if the money was not paid. Pandey immediately informed the SSP and the Sakri TI Pradeep Arya. A case has been registered. Pandey expressed surprise that the threat pertained to someone else’s daughter. The police are investigating the caller. The incident has caused a stir in political circles, with rumors spreading. Sakri police are using surveillance to investigate and find the suspect.
