Raipur, February 28, 2026/ Chief Minister Mr. Vishnudev Sai today, at the input assistance amount distribution ceremony and a large farmers’ conference organized under the Krishi Unnati Yojana in Rahangi of Bilha development block, transferred an amount of over Rs 10,324 crore into the accounts of 25.28 lakh farmers of the state. This includes 1,25,352 farmers from Bilaspur district, into whose accounts an amount of Rs 494.38 crore was transferred.
Giving new momentum to the district’s development, the Chief Minister inaugurated 7 development works completed at a cost of Rs 15.99 crore and laid the foundation stone for 82 development works at a cost of Rs 247.18 crore. At the program, the Chief Minister Mr. Vishnudev Sai and other guests were honored with Khumri and Nagara.
A video based on the theme ‘Krishi Unnati Yojana’s Boon, Every Farmer of Chhattisgarh is Wealthy’ was also released at the program.
Chief Minister Mr. Vishnudev Sai said that today is a day of respect for the farmer brothers. He said that more than 25 lakh 28 thousand farmers of the state have sold paddy and through the Krishi Unnati Yojana, an amount of over Rs 10,000 crore has been transferred into the farmers’ accounts today. Chief Minister Mr. Sai said that this amount is being provided before Holi so that the farmer brothers can celebrate the festival of Holi well.
Chief Minister Mr. Sai said that our government is a farmer-friendly government and progressive schemes have been brought for them keeping their concerns in mind. This time farmers did not face any problem with gunny bags and the amount reached their accounts on time. He said that the government has provided farmers with the facility of taking loans at zero percent interest rate, and today lakhs of farmers are benefiting from Kisan Credit Cards. He said that arrangements have been made in the state to provide the highest price for paddy to the farmers, which is not available anywhere else.
Chief Minister Mr. Sai said that amounts are also being transferred into the accounts of landless agricultural laborers. Work is being done at every level for the prosperity of farmers, including subsidy on fertilizers and expansion of irrigation facilities, and efforts are being made to make cooperation profitable.
Chief Minister Mr. Sai said that the Honorable Prime Minister of the country, Mr. Narendra Modi, is providing an amount of Rs 6000 as Samman Nidhi to the farmers. The provision of over Rs 13,000 crore for agriculture in this year’s budget reflects the government’s commitment and sensitivity towards farmers. Irrigation facilities are being expanded to ensure farmers get adequate water in their fields.
Chief Minister said that today Naxalism is on the verge of eradication from the Bastar region and we are succeeding in this direction. Certainly, by March 2026, the resolve of Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Mr. Amit Shah will be fulfilled.
Chief Minister Mr. Sai said that Chhattisgarh is a state rich in mineral resources, and by properly exploiting the minerals, the state is being taken forward on the path of development. He said that Chhattisgarh has immense potential for tourism. An agreement has been made with NDDB to promote animal husbandry in the state, and now a milk revolution is coming to Chhattisgarh.
Chief Minister Mr. Sai said that our government has worked with full promptness to fulfill all the guarantees of Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi, and most of the promises have been fulfilled in the last two years of the term. As soon as the government was formed in the state, in the first cabinet, housing for 18 lakh poor families under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana was approved. He said that the state government has formed the Good Governance and Convergence Department, and the e-office system has been implemented to bring transparency in administration. The Chief Minister reiterated the resolve to build a developed Chhattisgarh with the participation of all.
Chief Minister Mr. Sai also made important announcements at the program. He announced the upgrading of the Primary Health Center to a Community Health Center in Chakrabhata, the upgrading of the Middle School to a High School in Mangla, and the construction of a boundary wall and stage at the Rahangi playground. Along with this, Chief Minister Mr. Sai announced the provision of Rs 50 lakh for the community hall of the Satnami community and Rs 50 lakh for the community hall of the tribal community in Patharkhan.
Addressing the program, Agriculture Minister Mr. Ram Vichar Netam said that the Chief Minister is here among the farmers to provide the benefits of the Krishi Unnati Yojana, which is a very historic moment. He said that the Chief Minister has transferred an amount of over Rs 10,300 crore directly into the farmers’ accounts today. Under the leadership of Chief Minister Mr. Vishnudev Sai, the amount for paddy is being transferred into the farmers’ accounts every year. He encouraged the farmers by saying that there is more profit in pulses and oilseeds crops than in paddy, and farmers should adopt crop diversification.
Agriculture Minister said that prosperity will come in the lives of farmers only through innovation and change in agriculture. Work plans are also being made and implemented to promote milk production and fisheries in the state. He encouraged farmers to adopt mixed farming and organic farming and expressed gratitude to the Chief Minister for transferring the amount.
Bilha MLA Mr. Dharamlal Kaushik, welcoming the farmers, said that Chief Minister Mr. Vishnudev Sai understands the pain and hard work of the farmers and has come among them today to give the fruits of their labor and sweat before Holi. Chhattisgarh is prosperous only because of the hard work of the अन्नदाता (food providers). More than four lakh metric tons of paddy has been purchased in the last three years, and more than Rs 1,50,000 crore has been transferred into the farmers’ accounts. Under the leadership of Chief Minister Mr. Sai, excellent work has been done in all dimensions of development, including roads and irrigation, and the state is continuously moving forward with the vision of a developed Chhattisgarh.
Presenting the report, Agriculture Production Commissioner Mrs. Shahla Nigar informed that input assistance is provided to farmers under the Krishi Unnati Yojana, with the aim of strengthening their livelihood and improving their economic condition. She stated that in the year 2025-26, more than 25 lakh farmers will be provided assistance of over Rs 10,000 crore. Emphasis has also been placed on promoting crop diversification, encouraging farmers towards pulses and oilseeds crops along with paddy.
Farmers Expressed Gratitude After Interacting with the Chief Minister
Chief Minister Mr. Vishnudev Sai interacted virtually with farmer beneficiaries from across the state. Female beneficiary Basanti Kashyap from Jagdalpur said that she has received Rs 36,000 in her account, with which she will celebrate the Holi festival well. Sukhhan Sai, a Pahadi Korwa beneficiary from Korba district, said that he had sold 73 quintals of paddy and received Rs 53,000. He said he will spend this amount on building a house. Farmer Samarth Singh from Janjgir district said that he received an amount of Rs 1,41,000, for which he thanked Chief Minister Mr. Sai.
Chief Minister Mr. Vishnudev Sai also inspected the stalls set up by the departments.
