Virendra Gahwai, Bilaspur. The police has finally arrested the lover who poisoned his girlfriend by promising to die together. As soon as the girlfriend drank the poison, the accused lover fled from the scene. The police was searching for him for the last three months. This incident is from Masturi police station area.
Actually, there was a love affair between the deceased Meena Patel and Kirari’s Suresh Sahu, both wanted to get married. But due to being from different communities, the family was not ready for marriage. Meanwhile, Suresh Sahu got engaged, due to which there was an argument between the two on the night of the incident on 4 April 2024. After this, the accused Suresh Sahu called the deceased near the Government Higher Secondary School Masturi and said that what if we both cannot live together, we can at least die together. Will you die with me? So the deceased agreed to die together and the accused Suresh Sahu gave the pesticide kept with him to the deceased, which she drank but the accused Suresh Sahu ran away from there.
After which on April 5, Masturi police station received information that a 22-year-old girl in Kirari had consumed poison. She died during treatment in Raipur Mekahara. In this case, a case was registered against the accused youth in Masturi police station under section 306 IPC and he was being searched for. He has now been arrested and investigation is being done.
