The 79th Independence Day is being observed across India, with Chhattisgarh set to host various flag-hoisting ceremonies. Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai will preside over the main event at the Police Parade Ground in Raipur. Other key figures, including the Speaker of the Legislative Assembly and several ministers, will also participate in flag hoisting ceremonies at different locations throughout the state. Additionally, Members of Parliament and Members of the Legislative Assembly will participate in flag hoisting ceremonies in various districts.
