As India prepares to celebrate its 78th Independence Day on August 15th, the Chhattisgarh Waqf Board has decreed that all mosques, dargahs, and madrasas within the state will hoist the Indian flag. This directive, issued to promote national integration, calls for the national flag to be displayed at the main gates of these institutions. The board has instructed the mutawallis to ensure that the flag is hoisted with due respect and that the national anthem is sung. Dr. Saleem Raj, the Waqf Board Chairman, emphasized the importance of this decision in strengthening the message of national unity and brotherhood, highlighting the significance of the occasion.
