Picture of remote forest villages changed, health workers, students and villagers got transportation facility
Raipur, February 03, 2026/ The objective of the Chief Minister’s Rural Bus Scheme launched by the Chhattisgarh government is to provide accessible and safe transportation to villagers in remote forest areas, especially in the Bastar and Sarguja regions. Through this scheme, distant villages are being connected to district headquarters, schools, hospitals, and railway stations.
Path made easy by the reach of Chief Minister’s Rural Bus in remote areas
The Chief Minister’s Rural Bus Scheme is not just running on the roads, but it has become a means to preserve the time, convenience, and dreams of the villagers. Villagers are very enthusiastic with the start of bus service from Bada to Bario, Charpara, Kakna, Sidhma, Akhorakhurd, Rukhpur, Chichladih, Narmadapar, Sargaon and Ambikapur in Sarguja district. It is a result of the far-sightedness and sensitivity of Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai that today the echo of development is being heard even in those remote areas of Sarguja district where transportation was once a major challenge.
Journey made convenient, time saved
Mrs. Parmaniya Paikra, working at the Urban Health Hospital, shared her happiness and said that this is the first bus service on this route. She said that earlier, reaching duty on time and then returning home safely was a big concern. But since this bus started, we are getting a lot of convenience. Now we reach the hospital on time and also return home on time. Similarly, health worker Chanda Toppo said that being from the Banda region, there were negligible means of transport earlier. With the start of the bus service, her professional life has become easier and for this, she expressed her heartfelt gratitude to Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai.
Bus service proving to be a boon for students
This scheme has brought a revolutionary change in the lives of students. Lakshmi, a final year student of Pushpendra College of Nursing, says that earlier she had to struggle a lot to catch a bus, but now the bus passes right in front of her house. This makes her feel very comfortable for studies. At the same time, Nisha, a student of PG College, shared her experience and said that earlier she had to walk 5 kilometers to catch a bus. Now, since she gets a bus from Sidma village itself, she is traveling directly to Gandhi Chowk without any hassle.
Freedom from walking and long distance bike journeys
Divyanshu Singh, a resident of Sidma village in Sarguja district, said that due to the lack of bus facility, he had to travel 5 kilometers daily by bike or on foot. Divyanshu says that now a bus runs from the village itself, due to which I reach my school on time. He expressed his gratitude to Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai for this commendable initiative.
Remote forest villages connecting to the mainstream of development
The Chief Minister’s Rural Bus Scheme is not just a vehicle, but it is the assurance of good governance that has connected remote areas to the mainstream of the city. Regular bus operations have made access to trade, education, and health services easier. With the initiative of Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai, the person standing at the last end is becoming empowered. Today, the Chief Minister’s Rural Bus running on the roads of the remote forest areas of Sarguja is creating a new story of the state’s progress.
