Korba, the energy capital, is preparing for a major political and administrative gathering today. The Collectorate Auditorium will host an important meeting of the Madhya Kshetra Adivasi Vikas Pradhikaran at 11 AM, with Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai presiding. The significance of this meeting stems from the expected presence of numerous state ministers, including two deputy chief ministers, members of the authority, and special invitees.
Ministers in attendance will include Deputy CMs Arun Sao and Vijay Sharma, as well as Excise Minister Lakhanlal Dewangan, Finance Minister OP Chaudhary, Tribal Development Minister Guru Khushwant, Health Minister Shyam Bihari Jaiswal, Education Minister Gajendra Yadav, and Forest Minister Kedar Kashyap. A total of 51 members and 24 special invitees from the government will also be present to share their insights, suggestions, and any complaints.
The authority oversees districts such as Korba, Gorela-Pendra-Marwahi, Mohla-Manpur-Ambagarh Chowki, Gariaband, Dhamtari, Mahasamund, Rajnandgaon, Baloda Bazar-Bhatapara, Sarangarh-Bilaigarh, Balod, Khairagarh-Chhuikhadan-Gandai, Kabirdham, Bilaspur, Raigarh, and Sakti. The meeting will focus on reviewing the progress of development projects in these districts, along with a discussion on new initiatives and proposals.
To ensure a smooth and secure meeting, the district administration has made comprehensive preparations. Collector Ajit Vasant and Superintendent of Police Siddharth Tiwari conducted a meeting with officials to review the arrangements. Enhanced provisions have been made for parking, barricading, water supply, electricity, road management, and access control at the Collectorate. Departmental stalls will be available, enabling beneficiaries to directly communicate their issues to the Chief Minister.
